HI! I made this cocktail for our Christmas Eve celebration, and it went over fabulously! Great recipe, I followed it exactly, and was able to make a pitcher of it and have guests refill their own glasses. A host's dream! Thank you for an excellent holiday cocktail.

I made these for a Christmas party and everyone loved them - I thought it tasted just like a ginger snap. I had some of the same people in for New Year's Eve and they begged me to make them. Yes, it is a strong cocktail and yes, it is very sweet but shouldn't the name be a big hint? I could not find vanilla vodka so I used regular vodka and added a bit of vanilla extract. Also, when I made them the second time we ran out of ginger beer so we used ginger ale. The flavor was not as strong but still very good. I used only top shelf liquor, I have a feeling it makes a difference with this.

Obviously, many people who gave this drink a single star are people who don't drink. The word MARTINI should clue you in that it's not "Sandra's Light Spritzer That Barely Has A Buzz." And to that person with the shnapps: send it to me, I'll drink it!! To people who know how to drink- it's good, with or without the ginger beer.

I love this cocktail! It is right up my alley: very sweet. It's like drinking your dessert. If you don't like sweet stuff, don't bother. If there weren't so much alcohol in it, I'd have two or three. But the taste is great and worth keeping all the ingredients in the cabinet.

Not my favorite. Doesn't really taste like spicy gingerbread... meh.

I'll start out by saying I LOVE gingerbread. You have to in order to like this recipe. It's bizarre how much this drink tastes like the real thing.

Kind of sweet. You can increase the dark run to combat the sweetness, but it makes it a little heavy on the alcohol. not a problem for me though. Some people may like the sweetness though - it almost doesn't taste like an alcoholic drink, which I know some people favor.

It does require a bit of ingredients. Ginger beer can be hard to find; I found it at the second store I tried though. You can go with some cheaper grades of liquor though, and I don't think it compromised quality or flavor. (I used Kahulua instead of the recommended Frangelico, and used some offbrand of Vanilla Vodka.

It's not something I would drink all the time, but it's a nice holiday sipping drink. We made 3 servings the first time. My dh drank probably 3/4 of a serving and I had the rest in one evening. For a holiday party, this would be fun to make for people to sip and "try". It will never be someone's "drink of choice" but it's a fun novelty.

Complete waste of ingredients. I couldn't drink it and poured it down the sink.
