I made this exactly as the recipe suggested and it was incredibly easy and simple to make! So quick - if you're looking for an appetizer on the run, this would work. Many people at the party enjoyed the baguette because the cheese has a nice bite and the pear and pecans added a sweet flavor. It really is yummy! I gave four stars because I will make it again, but I will use fresh pear next time!

We served these at a dinner party last night and everyone really liked them. So different and so good. The balance between the gorgonzola and the candied pecans really blend well - so flavorful and delicious. Thank you!

I concur with the last reviewer. It was a hit! An hour before I needed them, I toasted the baguettes and prepared the cheese mixture and refrigerated it to be assembled about 15 minutes before I walked out the door. I was actually surprised because I wasn't fond of the taste myself and thought about leaving them at home. Everyone was ooohing and ahhhing. It was the hit of the party.
