I am originally from Cortland and love the apples.....they are wonderful for baking, very white and tart....I love eating them too because of the tartness. I am sure a McIntosh would work or even Granny Smith....all good apples. Just a nice flavored dessert with the light Angel Food Cake.

I am not sure if I can find Courtland Apples. I live in Portland, Oregon but I have never heard of Courtland. What other kind of Apples would work?
