Rave reviews every time I make this and so incredibly easy to put together. It doesn't get any easier. I use this recipe every year for our Super Bowl party and people really do go nuts for it. I put the spice rub (from the bbq chicken recipe all over my ribs or chicken or both! and then I coat everything with the tangy mop sauce, throw it in the slow cooker for 8 to 10 hours and voila! it's party time!! And guess what? This leaves me plenty of time to prepare all my sides and dessert and I can relax and have fun too! Perfect!

Sorry to say but this recipe was awful. I followed the recipe exactly as stated but instead of making the mop sauce we used bottled BBQ sauce in the end stage. The meat was tough as a boot and tasteless. I suppose it could have been the meat but for $10 for a 2.75 lb brisket it was an expensive failed effort. I will cook what's left in the crockpot tomorrow in more BBQ sauce until tender.

I prepared this a little differently than directed; I didn't have "hot sauce", so I used mild taco sauce, and I totally left out the red pepper flakes as we don't like things that spicy.
I cooked it the night before, up to the grilling part. The next day I sliced the meat, poured most of the sauce over it, and put it back in the oven for a couple of hours, using the last of the sauce in the last 15 minutes of cooking. It received raves at my Easter dinner!

I used Corned Beef Brisket, and it turned out great! I was a little worried that it was going to be too spicy because of all the red pepper flake and hot sauce, but it wasn't...it was perfect. Will make again!

In Austin Texas, all we do is brisket. This recipe is worthy to hit my Texas table. I had made this last week. Now my family expects it for every Sunday.

This recipe was a big hit with my family. My husband finished the brisket on our outdoor grill and it had a wonderful crust. Definitely will make this one again!

I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket without firing up the grill
