Loved the soup. After reading some of the reviews I just used regular American cheese for the dippers (made with French baguette. Both were excellent.

Oozed everywhere! it was a mess! Save yourself the time and just slap a piece of american cheese in between two pieces of bread and make a can of tomato soup.

The soup was really good. Even better as leftovers! My husband and I didn't like the cheese combo in the sammies, although the french bread was fun and differnt. Next time we'll use just cheddar with the soup and it'll be perfect!

It is too easy to get burned by the hot oozing filling.

Just enough spice to give it a kick!! do not cut the Baguette bread too thick though.

My sister-in-law and I made this last weekend with our daughters. The soup was fine, albeit too spicy for the girls (mom's liked it. The sammies were a disaster, though. The filling is too liquid to stay put and melted out all over the place. We scraped up some of it and let it harden and then tried to put it back between the bread but that didn't work very well. Just a "two."

the cheese dippers were wonderful. a wonderful twist on a grilled cheese. we used regular sourdough bread cut into strips, which worked great...we would have saved time and money making a single can of condenced tomato soup, the recipe tasted weird.

I half the tomato juice and added chicken stock and crushed tomatoes for a deeper flavor and it was awesome! I loved the grilled cheese sandos too, nice and creamy! A must try for a cold night!
