I think it might be better to add chili powder, cumin, garlic and maybe a bit of cayenne to the frozen fries and then bake as directed on the package.

I thought this was a nice new way to spice up regular old fries. They went very well with the Tex-Mex burgers. You can also fry them on the stove top for better, cripier results...for those who thought the recipe wasn't good enough to spice up frozen french fries. It's all in how you cook them, of course they will be tasteless and soggy if they are not cooked thoroughly (and especially if you bake them!

I made these fries but added seasoning salt instead of the chili powder since I have little kids that don't like spicy things. I broiled them and if you keep a close eye on them, they will turn out great. It was a lot better than frying them and making a greasy mess on the stove.

and the seasoning packet was more expensive than using separate seasonings that you can get multiple servings from.

These fries burned to a crisp. I followed the directions (using a broiler to a "tee" too.

First of all, not enough seasoning mix for all those fries. One Tablespoon barely seasons 2 or 3 fries. Second of all, if you grill them over direct heat, the seasoning burns rather quickly. Third of all, it's a huge pain to grill french fries.
