This meal was well received by my husband. I loved making it, and he loved eating it. I felt good making everything from scratch, especially the strawberry syrup. The touch of Grand Marnier made me feel really naughty for a Sunday morning. Plus I made Sandra's Irish Coffee. Man, did we need a nap afterwards.

Wonderful recipe! I'm not a huge fench toast fan or breakfast either for that matter, however, this recipe is soo good. I like to add a light amount of strawberry preserves as well between the breads...the Grand Marnier is an excellent component to this recipe - don't omit it. I have made it with & withour the Grand Marnier & it is better witht he Grand Marnier.

Neither were my guests. Thankfully it was just family. The orange liquor made the strawberries almost taste like they were spoiled. My husband and son ate leftover strawberry pie for breakfast instead

I had a lot of luck with this recipe - super easy and a real crowd pleaser! Have also tried it with Disaronno instead of Grand Marnier and it is great!

All I can say is Wow! I totally loved this recipe. By far the most decadent breakfast I've had in awhile. I used half of the amount of grand marnier for both the strawberries and the french toast as per the other reviews. I also cooked it in a regular frying pan coated with non-stick Pam. For the strawberries I couldn't find frozen, so I used a pint of fresh ones instead. The strawberries were so good my boyfriend and I finished them. The french toast extras we froze for another time. I highly recommend making this recipe and will add it to my collection.

But make sure to only use Grand Marnier. I've tried other alcohol flavors and they didn't come out as tasty.

Thi French Toast is sooo good - an excellent company breakfast. I used real whipped cream (rather than frozen whipped topping. Just delicious and looks very hard to prepare, but is really very easy and quick.

This is the best French Toast recipe I've ever used. I didn't put the full amounts of Grand Marnier in the batter (it was a little too strong for me and I didn't grill it, but it still came out better than most of what I've had before.

Adding the Grand Marnier spiced up the French toast nicely. The strawberry topping was delicious. My husband who doesn't even like French toast went back for seconds.
We just cooked it inside on a griddle to keep it simple & it tasted just grand. :
