How hard is it to make guac from scratch. One needs avocado, tomato and a chili. Use a chile according to your taste.

This dish is so easy and very yummy! I bring it to every party, and it always gets rave reviews. Sometimes I omit the sour cream, and I always add some lime juice. Delicious!

Jalapeno juice...the juice that the jarred japapenos are packed in. DUH!!!! I bet the folks at the grocery store had a good laugh.

In something as simple to make as guacamole, shortcuts are unnecessary. The freshness of the ingredients is what makes the dish good. Using jalapeno juice and salsa is just lazy.

I knew when you put the sour cream in you had a nasty guacomole on your hands. But my friends wanted me to make it and needless to say we went back to the way it was supposed to be made Come one Sandra I know you can do better that that. Please don't show that again. Wow everyone else agrees.

Easily the worst guacamole I have had outside of a convenience store.

Describing herself as an expert on guacamole was stunning. This is NOT guacamole. A previous reviewer said it tasted like Green Goddess dressing and that is pretty accurate. Guacamole is a combination of FRESH ingredients which include, avocados, cilantro, lime juice, chopped peppers, tomatoes, onion, salt and pepper. Our family has been making guacamole for over 50 years. Semi-homemade does not cut it for guacamole. Never, never put sour cream in guacamole!!!

how this "recipe" is any simpler than just adding lime juice and a little onion to mashed avocado. My truly-homemade guacamole takes all of 10 minutes, including chopping a little onion and squishing some garlic. Whatever. This didn't taste good, much like premade "avocado dip" that comes in plastic tubs. Making homemade isn't hard and in this case tastes waaaaaaay better. IMHO
