I liked this recipe but, as I always do,Ii altered it lightly to suit my own taste. I used a combination of cornmeal and flour for the batter. (Cornbread mix offers very little in the way of saving either time or money. I also tweaked the sauces somewhat, adding chopped geen peppers to the chopped figs, as well as a little relish, very little sour cream. I added some ginger and pepper to the cranberry sauce and used much less cream cheese as well. See what works for you.

These dips were in my opinion inedible combinations. Also the batter fell apart in
the fryer. Overall disappointment.

I watched this on the Halloween show 2008, And That night I had a party to Cater. So I made These Ham and Apple Fritters for the Party of 100 people. ALL NIGHT long, The guest couldnt get enough of them. They LOVED THEM!!! I will now Put these on my Menu for Future Partys. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
