this was an amazing recipe. my family loves japanese cuisine and hibachi steak meal is definitely not cheap in a japanese restaurant. i made this last night for my family, it was quick, simple but very delicious and really a money saving meal.

I tried to make sure I barely browned the meat at first, like Sandra said, but it still came out too rubbery. Also, the sauce was ok, but nothing to write home about.

While I don't think this tasted like hibachi steak that I've had, it was a decent weeknight recipe. I do think the cut of meat was too tough for as little time as it's cooked so I would probably buy a more tender cut of beef or just use chicken next time. It was very easy and took little time to make.

Just made this recipe for dinner tonight and thought it was great! The only thing I did, after reading others reviews was increased the corn starch, and served over egg noodles. Would absolutely make again.

This recipe was very disappointing. The meat was tough and the noodles like glue. With all the noodles available I don't know why anyone would use the egg roll wrappers. Also, the sauce lacked flavor.

Great recipe. I've made it a few times. Butter doesn't burn in the pan.. I use it in several recipes with my vegetables. I also make a "white sauce" with it to dip. Very good!

Why in the world you posted this recipe, or why people like it amazes me!! For starters, if you put soy on a grill it will burn and taste like burned soy. Second, same with the butter. The true hibachi , or teppinyaki, uses soy, but it is not just soy! It is soy, mirin, sugar, water, boiled to blend. The butter used is IMITATION butter with garlic added, turns into a liquid on your grill, instead of burning. Please never use basic soy on a hibachi, or flat pan. It will be the same thing you can order for 2$ from your local Chinese food place. You want Japanese Hibachi, Follow my recipe for an Authentic taste you find at restaurants. They also sometimes put Dashi in the soy.

Very tasty indeed! Instead of using eggroll wrapper we ate it with white rice. The family loved it and will be making it over and over again. : <3
