I'm a little confused by people's reactions to this recipe...of course they're not crispy, of course they're slow...you make them in a slow cooker. These were a very nice addition to an Oscar party spread I prepared. Not at all soupy, pretty tasty (especially if you doctor them up with seasonsings you enjoy, and yes, quite messy. A nice alternative if you want to serve wings but don't have a deep fryer, don't feel inclined to pan fry, and your oven is occupied with other dishes.

My family LOVED these, they were so yummy..fell of the bone. They are not like the wings you get in resturant, as far as the way they look, but tasted FAB. Will make again. I used lenom juice too. did not have citus seasoning.,

First, the sauce was delicious. I've used the sauce as a glaze for salmon, pork, and chicken, and everyone loves it. While I loved the sauce, I didn't care for the dish as a whole. The chicken was overcooked and a little chewy, and the meat fell off the bone so easily that it was difficult to eat. I'll save the sauce but will ditch the Crock-Pot chicken wings!

Wonderful flavor, moist and tender meat! I made this recipe with chicken breasts as well and then easily shredded with a fork for sandwiches. I believe this would also be great with pork for a shredded pork sandwich. You want to try this!

I loved the way these came out - didn't have citrus seasoning, so used some lemon juice instead. Also great done with chicken thighs!

The recipe must have changed because I did not use citrus herb seasoning? It used to call for a pack, or 2 of Chipolte Taco Seasoning. (taco bell brand is good, along with ketchup, apricot pineapple preserves, and a jalapeno.

and they were AWESOME. full of flavor, sweet and spicy. everything you could want in a wing.

I though these would be full of flavor and sticky but they werent. They came out soupy/watery and bland. The only good thing was how they fell off the bone. I threw this recipe away.

if you are a wing lover ie buffalo or barbeque like I am you will absolutely without a doubt hate these wings. I followed the recipe exactly, they were terrible. The only thing good about it was that the meat fell off the bone.

I have searched for the citrus herb seasoning called for in this recipe and have been unable to locate it. I have searched from Walmart to specialty high end stores and none have it. It is not listed on Spice Island website. Either. Any recommendations OR what is in it?

These have definitely become my go to wings. Anytime I have a get together and wings are on the menu, these are my ace in the hole. The sweet apricot and pineapple preserves are a great compliment to the spicy jalepenos. My friends always request these. Bravo!
