Sweet, tangy, sticky, and my picky family likes it! Apricot-pineapple preserves is a great ingredient I would have never thought to use. It almost has a Chinese sweet and sour flavor. Very good, thank you!

We grilled the whole wings (sans the winglets on the bbq ahead of time (four minutes a side, put them in the refrigerator, and separated them when they were cold. They were great!

At first I was a little skeptical about the recipe...But I tried it and my WHOLE family Raved...I substituted the chipotle taco seasoning for HOT taco seasoning(easier to find.Broiling first is essential, and about 25mins in,I drained the excess water from the chicken off...Simply Delicious!!

These were the best wings ever!! It's all I can do to not make them over and over again. The recipe calls from cooking 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. I would only go 2 1/2 hours unless you have unusually large wings. I went nearly 3 1/2 hours and the wings were absolutely falling off the bones.

After reading other reviews, I prepared my dish, put into my crock pot and crossed my fingers.

It was very disappointing. I would love for Sandra to explain how her creation on the show came out so well.

These wings are so great and so easy! I made them for a party and everyone raved! My husband (picky eater loves them and has even asked for them for dinner on several occasions. Thanks for the great recipe, Sandra!

Okay so after reading the reviews here I decided to just cook the wings in the oven under broil instead of using the slow cooker. Some of the things people complained about with this recipe remind me of what happened when I used a Paula Deen recipe. I watched her make the dish but when I went to make it, it did NOT turn out the way it should have. The oven times were all wrong as well as a couple of measurements on the ingredients. I think these chicken wings turned out excellent but I bet the problems people are having have to do with the recipe not being written properly here.

I broiled the wings 10 mins. on each side, added the sauce and broiled between 8 and 10 minutes on each side. They were my appetizers for Thanksgiving and my kids are begging me to make more. They weren't spicy like they should have been but then again I couldn't find the Chipotle taco seasoning. So instead I used regular taco seasoning and hot pepper flakes in the sauce.

    Good job Sandra!

I used plain apricot preserves + ketchup, a regular taco seasoning pack, and one chipotle chili from a can (the rest of the chilis in the can can be transfered to a jar and refrigerated for other recipes. I also used turkey drumsticks instead of chicken wings. The meat was tender, and the sauce reminded me of a nice spicy sweet and sour glaze.
