So, when I pulled this out of the slow cooker, it was basically just shreds of chicken and little bones (be careful!. Definitely not sticky, or even wings. That being said, this "stew" actually tasted pretty good over rice. It reminds me of the some dishes I have eaten in Mexico.

This recipe was very disappointing. Like a number of people have said, the crockpot ruins these. They are soft and flabby and disintegrated. Personally, I thought the sauce was awful, but my sons said it wasn't that bad. But it really is too watery and doesn't coat the wings (or shreds of them very well. You really should choose a different hot wing recipe or cook it in a completely different fashion.

When i read the reviews before cooking this i thought they were pretty harsh. Now, i see. These are edible but i think i could have a better sauce with a can of sloppy joe.

Even though I browned the wings under the broiler on BOTH sides, After cooking in the crock pot, the wings were soft- not crisp.

The sauce is fantastic. I will continue to use the sauce recipe for meats cooked by other methods.

The crock pot is just not the right cooking method to give the results I wanted.

Tasty and very tender! Imagine getting such great flavor out of a seasoning packet, ketchup and a jar of jelly!
