Used cream of shrimp instead and bought fresh crab meat....splurge; it's worth it! Mixed 2 scallions in and topped with 2 chopped before cooking. The wontons in peanut oil killed the entire yummy tasteso instead it tasted like burnt peanut butter....suggest different oil. On a whole, soooo much better than ANY chinese restaurant which serves cream cheese rangoons with an afterthought of crab! Having leftover dip tonight inside of wonton wrappers in a different oil!

I looked at everyone else's comments and decided to leave out the bisque. I also just used one package of crab (I think it was about 16 oz, the 2 8oz packages of cream cheese, I also used onion powder instead of scallions, and them I followed the directions for the other ingredients. My boyfriend really liked it. Since I have leftovers, I think tomorrow I will actually take the time to stuff the extra won tons with the extra dip and then fry them (I know the point is to have a dip if you are in a hurry but I think it would be good that way.

    Is there a -1 rating?
They make it seem so yummy on T.V., Needs to go back to the "test kitchen"
Did not need the shrimp bisque too soupy, needed a firmer base to start.
    My stomach still aches :(

Made the recipe with the amount of crab specified, bad idea. There was an overwhelming taste of crab. Could not find shrimp bisque substituted for lobster bisque, terrible. The color came out strange and the taste let's not go there. I would do this recipe without any bisque, add half the crab, and use more cream cheese and scallions.

I halved this recipe. Couldn't find shrimp bisque, so I used cream of shrimp soup. Came out fabulous! The fried won tons were crisp and delicious. Great appetizer! And easy too!!!

I made this twice, both times it was well recieved. The second time I substituted 12 ounces of imitation crab meat for the canned crab, most of my guests prefered it this way. I also baked the chips on a cookie sheet for 5-7 minutes at 350 degrees to make it healthier.

Everyone really liked this dip. I left the shrimp out and it turned out really good. The teanagers loved just the fried won ton's.

Prefer frying up the crab rangoon, than the dip method. I would leave out the shrimp bisque. (Funny smell maybe?? from another reviewer's comments
