Just enjoyed this at a Caribbean pot luck and absolutely loved it. Person who brought it use rolls broken up instead of loaf and added more rum. Everything was true to recipe!!

I made this recipe a few nights ago for friends. This was such a hit. It was moist and bouncing with flavor. The recipe did not state draining the canned pineapple so I opted to use pineapple in syrup and add the entire contents of the can. Great choice. I also made a coconut rum sauce and it sent this over the top. Will definately make this again.

This turned out pretty good. I couldn't find coconut milk & the nectar so I did substitute coconut cream and thinned it with the unsweetened pineapple juice. The next time I will use less coconut cream because it is sweet. I combined 2 juices to make the combo called for in the recipe.
    This pudding reheats very well.
    I'll make it again.
    Thanks for great ideas.

I've made this recipe twice - and got raves both times. The second time I didn't use any rum since I was bringing it to a work "cook-off" I just used the liquid from the canned pineapple instead. I've also used the Hawaiian rolls when I couldn't find the loaf and it worked great. This is a great recipe for substitutions, you can use whatever tropical fruits/nectars you like. I also cut the brown sugar down a bit as it is already sweet. This is a fantastic super easy dessert - that anyone who likes tropical fruit will love!

I didn't like the flavor of all the different fruit either.

This was unbelievably yummy. The whole family ate and liked it. That is two parents and 5 kids. That is saying something in our house where everyone likes a dish. This was simple and easy. I love the idea of using the slow cooker this way.

I have enjoyed her other crock pot pudding recipes but this one came out very poorly. The recipe might have a mistake in it because mine was very, very dry. I had to douse it with half and half just to gag it down. Sorry.
