This was great! I just made a few small modifications. I replaced the mac 'n' cheese with a medium cheese pizza, then paired it with a bottle of wine instead of topping it with dry bread crumbs. It was delicious and easy to make. Thanks, aunt Sandy!

If you had of put more cheese or made a nice cheese sauce to go over it with some italian herbs and then put the bread crumbs on it I could understand but that is powdered fake cheese mixed with a little milk and butter and this was disgusting and in no way is it Italian Mac and Cheese. I will stick to making my homemade mac and cheese and putting crushed ritz in butter make a better crust anyway.

I have always thought I would struggle with authentic Italian meals, and for the most part that is true. This recipe is just another example showing how I don't have the level of expertise required to master Italian dishes. It started out well, making the mac and cheese from the box according to those directions (I suspect this was easy because it was the 'American cuisine' part, which I am very good with. I used the cheapest breadcrumbs I could find, but the dish didn't taste Italian. I believe Italian style butter would have helped, but I can't be sure - I'm far out of my league when cooking at this caliber. Anyway, I can tell I didn't prepare it right when I couldn't stand it and fed it to the dog. The give away was when the threw up after just smelling the dish. Next time, I'm just going to order mac and cheese 'Italian style' at the KFC drive-thru, and let the masters handle this one!

This recipe, along with "Mexican style Mac and cheese" are a joke. How does throwing "italian bread crumbs" make it "italian style"? It would not surprise me one bit if she threw in curry powder and calls "indian style". I love the concept of her show, but her recipes do not deliver.

This recipe is an insult to Italians everywhere. How does dumping dry breadcrumbs on boxed mac and cheese equal Italian food?

Disgusting. I made it thinking it would jazz up Mac and Cheese, and it was a disaster. It was so dry and inedible that I ended up throwing it out. Don't make this, it is a waste of your time and money. Also, how could this possibly be one of her TOP recipes?

I know it may sound tempting, but please don't waste your time. Although the idea creative, and time and money saving, it is really pretty bad. First off, it is so dry, way to many bread crumbs, and not enough crunch, it was more like powder. It made my kitchen a mess too, and nothing sticked together. You would think that the bread crumbs would form a nice crust, and make this dish crunchy but it didn't. I wouldn't recomend it, or make this dish again.
