It was very easy to make, but when all done, had absolutely no flavor. Could not tast the pineapple, or the coconut
and the batter was not sweet at all. No flavor. Was quite disappointed.
The ready made icing was too sweet and
had a grit texture to it. All and all, I won't make it again.

I remember eating cake similar to this from my grandmother - only she "spcied it up" with rum! Yum! This is as Italian as it can get! Very moist and flavorful....now I can make my own. Viva Italia - bon appetito!

I saw Sandra making this cake today and thought how delicious it looked. Then I checked and I had all the ingredients to make it. Didn't have the canned cream cheese frosting but I had cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla so I made my own frosting. This cake is incredible! It's better than the Italian cream cake I made. (far better So thank you Sandra for another wonderful recipe. I will make this one again and again. : Oh yes, and it was very easy to make. Love your show. :

When i first taste this cake knowing the fastes way to make the icing was so wonderful. I din't think that buying store bought icing and adding some extras would change the way of taste it was by far the best cake ever that me and my daughter made together. My daughter is the real baker here i just tend to help.

My favorite cake ever is Italian Creme Cake. It is difficult and time-consuming to make. When I watched Sandra Lee make this cake on TV today, it reminded me of Italian Creme Cake. I had to try it. WOW! It is SO MUCH EASIER than the original recipe and tasts just as good. I am thrilled to have found this easy way to make an old favorite.
