fix dinner, THEN make this! This adult beverage will knock you on your backside if you drink a couple and not so much gravity is holding you down, like me. Thank you Sandra for sharing this cocktail. I love cocktails I can make without having to go get some strange booze I dont have. I had all of these! Im back now printing this up for this years Mardi Gras.
BTW, this was my first show I ever saw on food network, which got me hooked to tuning in for more shows for helping me be a better cook. I owe it to you, Sandra. I wouldnt have stopped on FN channel if it hadn't have been for this episode.

If you double (or triple this recipe, it makes a fantastic drink to serve to a small group of people. Also, it taste fantastic if you substitute banana flavored rum instead of coconut.

Whoa! I realize that the recipe is straightforward, and I should have known from the four kinds of rum what I was getting into. However, I tricked myself into believing that the flavors would balance out. As an avid wine and beer drinker I just cannot stomach this much rum. On top of it all I tried to serve this sugary drink with Sandra Lee's ?Cheesy Creole Grits? topped with ?Andouille Sausage Creole,? great meal, but awful combo. If you like rum it's a great drink. My husband really enjoyed it with half the grenadine. Trying it out was really my mistake.
