I'm not from Kentucky, but when I saw the name of this recipe, I immediately thought Kentucky bourbon would be the alcohol. This recipe comes closer to being a Lynchburg Lemonade. (That's Lynchburg, TN; where Jack Daniels is made. Just add 1/2 ounce of Triple Sec and you pretty much have it. Increase the frozen lemonade concentrate to 3 oz and it would take the place of sweet and sour mix, then top it off with 1/2 oz of soda. Yum, one of my favorite drinks.
We in TN take our whiskey seriously too. As stated before, all bourbons are whiskey, but not all whiskeys are bourbon. A true bourbon has to come from Kentucky, but Tennessee is famous for whiskey be it Jack or George.
My rating is for the recipe, not the name.

I thought this was a great recipe, and that everyone commenting needs to remember that this is only a drink, no need to beat each other up about it :

How dare you call this Kentucky Lemonade and use that Tennessee filth? Learn to read labels. And you might want to also learn about a region before you name anything after it. You offended alot of people with that one mistake. Kentucky takes ITS bourbon seriously.

A good "summertime" sipping refreshment. Remember, ALL bourbons are whiskey; but, not all whiskeys are bourbon.

This was certainly very delicious with Jack Daniels. My company enjoyed this drink very much and asked for the recipe. By the way to the nasty little comment below me, Jack Daniels my dear is a BOURBON, TRY ANOTHER WORD FOR YOUR SPECIFIC SELECTION OF LIQUORS. If you think you know so much using the word Kentucky is not always affiliated with THE STATE OF Kentucky. Just a simple name for a drink.

How can this be called "Kentucky" Lemonade? Jack Daniels is a Tennessee whiskey and therefore makes this drink no longer associated with Kentucky. Next time, use your brain and recommend a BOURBON to mix with it. Such as Bulleit, Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Blanton's, Noah's Mill, Eagle Rare, or even our revered seven-dollar-a-fifth Kentucky Gentleman. Choosing any of these would create a far superior drink and one that actually deserves to be called Kentucky Lemonade.

I'm a HUGE fan of Lemonade-Anything-Drinks, so this one really caught my eye. Instead of using concentrated lemonade (because it is quite sweet, most stores have other lemonade drinks that work really well with this mix. We have Simply Lemon here, and of course, I like to make my own lemonade (it's super easy to do, and you can make it as sweet or tart as you like. Makers does work well in this drink, I'll admit, but I also like using Southern Comfort if I don't have anything else.
    Sorry Kentucky!

Havent made this but sounds nice.

Seems pretty simple to back off the sweetness with Diet Soda, or even better just Club Soda--or combo of the two (like a Press.

Made this cocktail in the pitcher form as shown, NOT as written. Used can of frozen lemonade concentrate, 2 cans Sprite Zero, 1 can of whiskey and lots of ice. It was the PERFECT refreshing drink on a hot summer evening in the south. (Oh, the 'cans' I mentioned were using the lemondade container as measuring guide. This is now going into my personal book of favorites. Those thinking it was too sweet should try using the Sprite Zero to cut the calories and some of the sugary sweet taste. The drink has a taste along lines of whiskey sour or hard lemonade. GREAT!
