This is just simple and tasty. My daughter, who loves tacos, say Sandra make this and had to have it. We made it together that night and it really hit the spot. The tip from this recipe that I use in all my mexican beef recipes now is to subsitute the juice from the jarred jalapenos in the meat misture in place of water. Adding the water back to the jalapeno jar does work.

It was very delicious, easy, and good for snacking. My husbanad loooovvveeeed it! I don't have taco seasoning, so I used chillis seasoning instead.

I must have recently seen a re-run, but she poured juice from a jar of jalapenos. Then she added water to "reproduce" juice for the next time she wanted to use it. Hope that helps. And I agree, don't have to deep fry a tortilla to crisp it up. Also, using a tostada shell could be a substitute.
