My Mom has made this for years and years... everyone always raves about it :
It's goof-proof and delish. The soup and cottage cheese do seem weird, but this is GOOD!

Sandra Lee is successful, cute, and probably a lovely person. Her tablescapes are clever and often inspiring. However, TOMATO SOUP in lasagne frightens me! I thought Sandra had more class than that. One might better eat Franco American canned spaghetti. I will give Sandra the benefit of the doubt & assume she created this recipe before her involvement with the prominent and refined family of Andrew Cuomo. Sandra, please don't serve this recipe in the Governor's mansion.

I made this when my little brother, a very picky eater, came over for Sunday dinner. I didn't tell him that it was cottage cheese and not ricotta and he never noticed. This is a great, healthy alternative and very yummy as well.

Good, but too meaty and not enough sauce. I would put a little less oregano too.

Why would anybody make this recipe, when it's so easy and inexpensive to make lasagna the right way? Ughh.

Why wouldn't you just buy a jar of pasta sauce? And the ricotta is RIGHT NEXT to the cottage cheese? Why would you do this?

Please rename this to "Noodley Meat-O Tomato Souperiffic Yum Yum Time" because this is not lasagna. I am sure the substance tastes good enough but to use tomato soup in an italian dish is worse than using a jarred sauce to make it.
Don't tell Mario Batali about this. He'll weep and curse at the skies.
Oh god he's probably on this website right now! Mario, no don't look! NOOOOOO!

This recipe is awful. To label this as Italian is a disgrace. Ricotta, Tomato Sauce (if you don't have a recipe, look up Ina's or Tyler Florence's - they use whole San Marzanos and they are both great, and Parmesan... are staples in a good lasagna. And oregano? That's for pizza sauce. This is almost as ridiculous as the time she sauteed turkey cutlets with a cherry sauce.

i read alot of review while i was making this and alot are mixed but i loved this dish! u cant taste the tomato soup or apple cider in the meat at all! when i put the layers in i put big squares of mozzerlla cheese on top with a little tomato sauce on top not to dry out the pasta. and it was not runny at all! my husband and his friend ate many leftovers too! i love sandra lees recipes!
