I thought this recipe looked simple and delicious. It was messy spreading the cake mix in the pan and I still can't figure out why you put foil and spray. Doesn't matter, it was dry and tasteless and I wouldn't make it again.

I printed the recipe out, then read reviews that talk about the jello and or cake mix error. However, even after reading the reviews it's not clear to me what to use!!! I'm assuming lemon cake mix for the bottom layer and lemon jello for the top layer? I'm guessing it's gonna taste great tho (just hope my assumption is correct.

As for people bashing Sandra Lee, I don't get it! I've gotten great results from her recipes. Especially the Smothered Meatloaf. Fun to make!

16 ounces cream cheese (recommended: Philadelphia softened
    1/3 cup sugar
1 (3-ounce box lemon or lime gelatin (recommended: Jell-O
2 eggs --- **See what it reads there, OR lime gelatin. It does not say to use it, it says you can. Now, I know a lot of you like to use this as a Sandra Lee bashing board, but you cant blame her for not reading a recipe correctly.. As for myself, I took the advice of another poster as used vanilla cake mix as I'm not a huge fan of lemon. I did use the lemon jell-o and it was good.

I made these for a backyard luncheon I was attending. They looked too easy to be true. Not only were they easy but they were a hit with my family and the family to whom I brought them. I have since sent the recipe to all my daughters and my neighbor. I thought it was too good to be true but it wasn't.

This was a really easy and yummy recipe! That said, make sure you use the yellow cake mix like she used on the show, and not the lemon (icky. Also, instead of trying to spread the crust mix, i would recommend just getting down and dirty and using your hands :.

I made the recipe the way sandra lee made it on the show with lemon jello. It turned out pretty good, especially the top layer. It was disappointing that they did not get the recipe right on the site. They've done that with a couple recipes, but it's not as big of a ordeal as others are making it out to be.
