With two simple ingredients and short prep time, this recipe is great quick fix, especially for our busy schedule.
If 4-5 min in the microwave make the broccoli too soft for your taste, cut it down to 3-4 mins.

This was a very unsatisfactory recipe.
The flavors did not mix well. I would
    never make it again.

The colors of the dish are super. Simple ingredients, knowledgeable cooking time according to your microwave, produced a light wonderful healthy dish. Use common sense and try this if you like broccoli. Yum.

I enjoyed the taste of fresh lemon juice with the broccoli but couldn't find lemon olive oil in my regular groshery store - so I used fruity extra virgin olive oil - delish!

Alterations: DO NOT cook broccoli in microwave for 5 min. IT WILL NOT be pretty. Here's what I did: I took a bag of frozen broccoli cook it to my desired tenderness added a tablespoon of salt to the water; added the lemon zest and bit of lemon pepper and that turned out better than the original...sorry Sandra, but I still watch you everyday.

OK...So, lower cooking time for broccoli to about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. I did and it turned out just as I wanted. Recipes are guides, by the way...you can still use common sense and tailor them to your specific tastes!

This recipe is a keeper for all lemon lovers. I usually double up on it and eat it hot or cold.
