it's only too salty if you have a heavy hand with the lemon pepper and garlic SALT. Common sense is needed. The only negative I have on this recipe is that when grilling the butter baste is quite flammable, and I don't always have time to stand over the grill during the entire cooking process.

If you read the recipe correctly it said to use a whole chicken, quartered. It DID NOT say to dice the chicken. Geesh!

Do not rate the recipes if you don't know how to read them.

Like a Do-Do brain, i forgot to get the Lemon-Herb Mix Packet from the grocery and I'm wondering if that's the reason why so many people were turned off from this full-flavored dish. I substituted extra lemon pepper, garlic powder and salt and pepper instead of the pre-made mix and the chicken turned out delicious! My advice- diss the mix and stay with your trusty spice rack. Excellently compliments the lemon chicken soup from the same episode and surprisingly doesn't give lemon/chicken overload.

I ended up working in a few changes into the recipe: garlic powder instead of garlic salt, I used bone-in split chicken breasts, tucked a few peppercorns and bay leaves under the skin. For the baste, I melted the butter with 1/2 packet of Knorr Vegetable Soup Seasoning and a little water in the microwave. It turned out so good even my toddler and preschooler asked for seconds. Very yummy and tasty!

Easy recipe, and the family loved it...even the teenagers. This is definitely a "Keeper!"

I just finished watching the show and Sandra did not use diced chicken. She used a large breast with the leg attached. There must be an error in the recipe.
We liked it a lot but then we love lemon.

Very yummy and will make again. I couldn't find the Lemon Herb sauce mix so I used McCormick's Zesty Herb mix. I only used 1 1/2 T of the mix which is less than the entire package. I used whole thighs and pounded boneless breasts and grilled. Next time I will cut the butter in half and double the lemon juice.
