These cookies were excellent and yes they were very thin but you just need to know thats how they turn out, I like that for a change and was looking to make a different cookie. Really when I make them again and I will, I will slightly cut back on the suger and butter. Also I noticed the roll froz harder than other cookies do so I had a little issue when I cut and tried to form them for baking. All and all loved this cookie!

I went with the recommended extra 1/4 cup of flour, but they were still kind of flat. Once I cut them much slimmer they were decent sized cookies and I have to admit they taste great. I'm a big lemon lover

Yes, they were flat. They came out great. I sifted the flour, so that may have been why mine came out so good.

Not happy with these cookies at all. I should have read the reviews first. But I agree with the mushy mess and how they did go flat after baking. Had to throw it all out.

These cookies were so easy to make and they came out delicious. They did come out a little flat, but I didn't mind at all after tasting them. I love using fresh ingredients, so adding the lemon was my favorite part. Next time I'll try other fruits like oranges or limes.

Read the comments and wasn't going to make these cookies because it had only 3 stars. But my cookies turned out great. Lots of people said that cookies came out flat. It could be the butter that was used. If you use substitute butter you get a higher oil in your butter that causes cookies to be greasy and go flat. Specially if you use margarine. Another reason could be the baking soda is old. Baking soda is what helps cookies to puff.

I read sooooo many "bakers" out there who complained that the cookie DID NOT COME OUT CORRECTLY , come on. You are seriously complaining about Sandra's recipe ??? Did any of you think about the different factors that can miss up a baked item?? Maybe NOT. Did anyone out there think of HUMIDITY , and they different percentage? How about your altitude? Difference from sea level to 2 miles up. Hhmmmmmm. Those that gave a 4-5 stars, and gave a positive comment apparently have baked before ,and from scratch, and know how to compensate for humidity and altitude. The rest of those who 'baked' these simple cookies , wow , you need to place the blame to where it belongs, and IT was not on Sandra's or anyone's else's recipe. You just need to learn, and with anything else it has to do with time and practice.
