My dad and stepmom made this for a family gathering and everyone liked it, even 3 children under the age of 7! The sauce can be a bit sweet, but as long as you don't drown the chicken in it, the sauce gives a nice lemon taste to the chicken. The chicken is also good in other dipping sauces, such as ranch or BBQ. Thank you Sandra Lee, I like to watch your show!

I made this for company one evening, having never made it before, so I knew I was taking a chance. I had no idea it would turn out so good. Everyone loved it including my very "picky" adult son who asked to have the left-overs. I read the reviews about it being too sweet and lemony, but my guests loved it and asked for the recipe. You have to like lemon to enjoy this dish. I thought it was great and will definitely make it again.

This is so good. The flaky breading on the chicken is wonderful and I've gotten a lot of compliments.

my mom accidently bought chicken thigh instead of chicken breasts, but it was good nonetheless. i gotta admit i had tons of flour mixture and buttermilk mixture leftover that i couldnt do anything about, but it tasted great and the sauce wasn't too lemony with the chicken broth and ginger added to it.

This recipe is sooo easy and it tastes great too. My husband really liked it and wants me to cook it at least once a month!!!
I love Semi-Homemade and I think Sandra Lee's presentations and table-scapes are just awesome.

Sandra, I love your show so much. I tried this recipe on Sunday night just a few days ago for my family and it was like most people said, "too sweet." I read the previous reviews before trying the recipe so I would get a few ideas. If you make this recipe folks, it is excellent if you add spices to the flour mix (like seasoning salt, etc. Also, add only 3 tables spoons or so of the Lemon Curd (not the whole jar. The rice was SO YUMMY, but I used 1/2 with Apple Juice and 1/2 with Chicken Broth instead of all apple juice. It's less sweet that way. Thanks Sandra.

This was a delicious dinner, but the next time I make it I will add some salt (maybe a few teaspoons and some black pepper to the flour/cornstarch mixture. It was very reminiscent of sweet and sour chicken, which was a definite hit with the kids. I will also try adding some green peppers, tomatoes and pineapple to the sauce and will cook some rice and will in fact make sweet and sour chicken with this recipe too. Yum, Yum
