With lemon icing. It was really bad? Why would you suggest that? Not even cool whip with lemon extract could make it taste good. It wasn't any worse than the mango glaze though.

I believe the point of cooking the chicken 2wice is because it is cold...first of all and when you make a recipie you can embellish it anyway that you like.. if you wanted to put grapes on it you can.. the whole point of semi homemade is to take already cooked or processed foods and turn them into your own. Who want's to make lemon icing, when they can't find it when all they have to do is add lemon extract to some cool whip? I think everyone would that does not have the time or just does not want to roast a whole chicken from scratch.. who does that anymore unless you are a grandmother from the 50's or a chef.. This recipie was good.. I am tired of people coming down on her recipies, like they are supposed to be some kind of culinary ingeniousness... she is just improving on what is already there.

I used pineapple instead of Mango but it still came out wonderfully.

This is so easy and it's the bomb. My chicken didn't come out dry at all. I think it's because the marinade seeps into it along with the mango juices while it's reheating.

The honey glaze is awesome. WTG semi-homemade!

Why, oh, why would anyone cook a already cooked chicken twice? the marinade cannot possibly do anything with only 5 minutes on the chicken. Also, those mango pieces look ridiculous.

Instead of buying a grocery store rotisserie chicken, I roasted my own. I made the glaze and during the last twenty minutes of roasting I basted the chicken with it. It was good, if sweet. However, it was not semi-homemade anymore. Made with a rotisserie chicken this same recipe turned out dry and leathery. Just ask my sister, who made it that way. Maybe the pieces of mango were supposed to protect the chicken somehow but it didn't work for her. My way resulted in an edible bird and was just as easy. I'm sorry for those who can't make their own.
