I used apple sauce intead of canned fruit, and canned salmon. It was just as good - everyone kept asking about the recipe - where in the world did I come up with this one? - etc. Is it supposed to be like this? Oh yes, sweet SL, yes.

The cinnamon and nutmeg were horrible with the fish and the 'salsa' was hilariously bad. Please don't make this if you love your tastebuds.

The fish was very weird tasting. I would definitely leave out the nutmeg if I were you. I think she got nutmeg mixed up with allspice, which is a great spice to use with any Caribbean-style recipe. The salsa is too sweet and mushy and just does not taste at all fresh. We thought it was terrible. All in all, no good.

The recipe says to marinade for "at least an hour" so I let it sit for about 3 hours. When I took the fish out, it had turned white because the marinade had eaten into it! I figured it was still ok to eat (didn't smell too bad so we cooked it. It was dreadful The nutmeg taste does not go with fish at all! Maybe it tasted more of nutmeg because I had marinated it for longer but I am defintely not chancing it by making it again. NO THANKS

The fish was ok, but the salsa was lame beyond belief. Too sweet. Too mushy. Tasted like it was straight from some can. Which it was. Surprise.

The marinade and the salsa goes nicely with this kind of fish. It lightens it up. My boyfriend hopes I make this again, and he's not even a big fish lover.

Our family got excited about this dinner. It's delicious and quite colorful, so great presentation. : Much more exciting than meatloaf!

I'd have to say that it was just ok. Nothing to get excited about. Might make it again if I find some cheap fish, but probaby not. No one was wild about the salsa.
