I'm sure that this looks nice, but using bought cakes and bought icing kind of goes against the point of a cake. I would recommend making your own cake and icing and simply using this as an idea on how to put it together. Otherwise pointless so-called recipe.

It was awesome! I did a variation on the decorations for my daughter's birthday. She loved it! I wish I could post a pic of it!

i don't know why your show is on the food network. buying an angel food cake and heaping mounds of brightly colored frosting on it doesn't mean you have any talent. you're on the wrong T.V. show.

All of Sandra Lee's cakes are insane, but this is one of the craziest. The cake is tied to the plate. This is not a recipe, it is assembly instructions. Instead of her worthless tablescape segment, maybe she should show us simple semi-homemaders how to serve this sticky, dripping, tied to the plate construction.
