Directions

24 ounces mixed melon, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (buy pre-cut melon), plus more for garnish

Ingredients

  • 18 fresh mint leaves, plus sprigs for garnish
  • 1 cup melon-flavored vodka
  • 1/2 cup melon liqueur
  • 1 bottle Italian Prosecco, Asti, or extra-dry sparkling wine, chilled

In a blender, combine melon, mint leaves, vodka, and melon liqueur; blend until smooth. Pour into flutes or glasses, filling only half full. Fill the rest of the glass with Prosecco and garnish with a slice of melon and sprig of mint.

    I had never mixed vodka and wine before and now I am very sorry that I did. It reminded me of the time in college when my roommate tried vodka and Capri Sun, although just a tad more disgusting.

    maybe we should use only one type of melon from now on, but the color of the drink was a turn off.
