this meal has become a monthly staple at my house. we always talk about trying new combinations but we always end up making the ham and swiss because it is so delicious. i add a few extra almonds for added crunch. this is the perfect meal--easy and delicious!

I have made these 3 times now and find them addicting. I make a few changes: Change the vanilla extract to almond, use Splenda instead of sugar and fat free 1/2 & 1/2 instead of cream. Also, I use one bag of mixed choc/white choc chips (small bag. Everyone asks for the recipe - big hit!

Just made this recipe, they are fantastic warm from the oven. I am going to serve these at a coffee get together tomorrow. I can't really taste the coffee but it doesn't matter, still great.

I seen this recipe on FoodNetwork and had to try it. I've made scones from scratch. This recipe came out nice and moist with a silky texture rather than dry and crumbly. I loved the ease of making it. Thank you.

This is a great recipe "idea". First, the recipe does not call for nearly enough liquid for the amount of dry ingredients being used. I added milk until it came to the right consistency.
Second, the baking mix is a bit heavy on its own. I added some more leavening power with a bit of baking powder with my dry ingredients.
Remember, a recipe is more or less a guideline, and may need to be adjusted for your altitude, and your own tastes.
This recipe has great flavor!

These were so simple to make, and the smell throughout the house was wonderful. They were moist and delicious!!! They don't even need any butter or jam. Just plain is great!! Thanks again, Sandra!!!!
