You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 (17.5-ounce) package oatmeal cookie mix (recommended: Betty Crocker)
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum (recommended: Meyer's)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine oatmeal cookie mix, canola oil, egg, and rum. Stir until dough forms.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet (only make as many as you need - keep dough in sealed container in refrigerator and enjoy later). Bake in oven for 9 to 11 minutes.

    These cookies are excellent. If you want something easy and quick, but GOOD...here ya go! Every one always asks for the recipe. I agree with kryspykitty. Well said!

    You know, I love the reviews for this that say silly things like "these didn't taste homemade", etc. especially since the name of the show is SEMI-homemade.
    The whole point w/the recipe was to doctor up a pre-packaged mix (aka if you don't like the mix you are using, you are not likely to dig this customized version of it!?!
    Our family, however, LOVES these cookies (and they are even better w/some dark chocolate chips thrown in for good measure!!

    Very good, quick, and easy! My kids loved it too. Only thing is I recommend warming them up just a little in the microwave after they have cooled, just because they can get too hard to bite into. We loved it!!
