I have used this recipe every year for Christmas for the past 3 years and it is delicious. It has become a family tradition every Christmas to have the Orange Glazed Duck.

Duck tends to be firm, I think fast cooking at a high temp. does not encourage the flavors to blend. I would braise this at a lower temperature the next time in orange juice and its own fat for several hours. I would remove the surface fat and glaze with this sauce and finish per the recipe. It had great flavor just tooooooo firm and chewy.

The duck was very easy to make, and the glaze was excellent and without frills. It's a good recipe for someone who has never cooked duck before. I'm going to make this again!

She mentioned on this show that they have "duck timers" now (versus turkey timers. It looked smaller than the turkey ones. Does anyone know where to get the duck timers? I've checked Sur La Table, Target, and Bed Bath & Beyond.
