My kids loved these. They got creative and added Chocolate sauce to them. They tasted just like a peanut butter cup.

Whenever I can make a meal for my family that 3 out of 4 like... I am thrilled! I made these for dinner with some bacon strips and chicken apple sausages. I know that several people complained about the batter being too thick. I used Bisquick and I cooked one first to test if I needed to thin out the batter. I didn't have to adjust it. I also only used the 3/4 c. of peanut butter because two family members are not peanut butter fans. The subtle flavor made them happy though and the one kid who LOVES peanut butter.... I just "buttered" the pancakes with a little extra peanut butter before I poured on the jelly. I used Smuckers Black Berry Jam... and it was thin when it was hot but started to rethicken as it cooled so I didn't even bother to use any cornstarch. It stayed liquidy until dinner was done. I would definitely make these again.

These pancakes were fabulous! I was looking for a fun, protein-rich recipe for my toddler. She loved them, especially with the jelly syrup. (We used strawberry.

I had read the reviews, so I increased the PB to 1 cup. After, I combined all the ingredients, I added some extra milk, gradually stirring until I got the consistency of a traditional pancake batter. They were definitely creamier, more unique, and tastier than regular pancakes.

I increased the PB to 1 c; for more PB flavor & protein.IDK if it was the weather, the extra PB or what, but it needed extra milk. Even so, they were dense-if you like them fluffier, add baking powder. My cheap jelly did not get thin & smooth so I added water. I replaced the milk with buttermilk. DO NOT DO THIS. Its taste does not blend well with the PB. (Kids didn't notice but I did.The changes I made were because of personal taste and products used, not corrections. **Always thicken & thin things gradually. Start with half the amount called for.**
Using this forum to bash Sandra is so ridiculous, I won't comment further.

Not bad- but the batter was really thick and I had some issues getting the jelly syrup to the right consistency. I added extra corn starch and then it was fine.

My son and I watched this episode and were intrigued by the idea of PB&J pancakes. They were good, but we probably won't make them again. They weren't really any better than regular pancakes. The pancake batter was VERY thick and needs to be thinned with either water or milk to cook easily. I also had some trouble with the syrup. It was way too thick for us to pour. I kept having to add more water, which probably made it a little bland. I would suggest using less cornstarch because the syrup gets too thick. The overall flavor was subtle, which is probably a good thing.

Would be nice if you would also put the recipe for the baking mix with the full recipe so we could use it or at least try it .

A few reviews here are not actually reviews of the recipe, but are people squabbling back and forth with 5 star ratings. Rating a recipe that everyone agrees is too thick with 5 stars while arguing creates a false sense of success for this recipe, so I wanted to even the score a bit and hopefully bring the rating down to where it belongs.
