The Nutter Butters fell off the toothpicks. The chocolate stuck to the drying rack better than the cookies. This sounded fun and easy to do with the kids, but it was too frustrating. I think the chocolate was too thick, but no instructions were given as to how to thin it down.

I am trying to avoid transfats, so I switched from shortening to lard. The lard seemed to give the white chocolate chips an "off" taste. And it was very difficult to get the lard and the chocolate to combine smoothly. It kept separating into a thick layer of oil.

I tried making Halloween ghosts using Nutter Butter cookies and melted white chips. When melted, the white chocolate was too thick and after trying to spread it on the cookies with a knife, I gave up. Too much of a hassle. The chocolate has to be thinned out to make the dipping easier. Otherwise I thought Sandra's finished product was really cute.
