    A truly terrible pork roast.

Everything about this recipe sounded good. But, it turned out bland and the sauce was watery. The meat had no texture and looked unappetizing when finished. I used pork tenderloins as the recipe instructed, but wondered if a pork loin roast would have worked better. Not worth trying again.

Made in crockpot. Came out very dry and hardly any taste. A big disappointment!

I was a bit mystified by some of the reviews on this recipe. On the whole it was very good. I found the rub to be a bit salty but that can be easily remedied. The meat took 25 minutes in my oven to reach 165 degrees. I might even try the cornstarch trick one of the other reviews suggested for the sauce. This was tasty, tender. delicious and quick. Will be making this again.

I don't think it matters what wine you use.

I made it like the website says to. It was terrible. Dry and nasty.

The actual episode used white wine and a slow cooker which is completely different from this recipe. The red wine seems like a better fit but I'd like to know which cooking method is supposed to be used.

I watched this prepared and it wasn't prepared as the receipe states. White wine was used instead of red. A T of cornstarch was added to the wine and plum sauce. It wasn't cooked in a skillet but the tenderloin was just rubbed with the spices and put into a slow cooker on top of the sauce and cooked for 4 hours on high.

This takes no time to prepare and is great if you need to make something that doesn't take a long prep time.

The pork was very dry and tasteless. The sauce was unappetizing. Big disappointment after shelling out a lot of $$ for the pork.
