This recipe was amazing. I am not a pot roast or crock pot fan, but my husband loves those meals. I made it and I actually can not eat enough. Make sure you COOL off your broth mixture before putting in blender and do it in small amounts. I always put a towel over the blender just in case it decides to explode...hence, the cooling off method. After roasting vegetables I drizzled olive oil , s & p, and broiled for about 3-4 min. Delicious!

This was a very good recipe, although i probably would have used less onion and carrot, or cooked them separately. The whole meal had the same flavor. Other than that, the meat was very tender and the gravy was great as well.

This is a great recipe! Meat was tender and gravy was great! Tip: Only use what is in recipe for veggies in crockpot or the flavor will be too carroty, etc... like my friend did. Don't use chuck or it will be too tough. The right cut of meat makes all the difference for any recipe.

This was awesome! Best roast I've ever made. I also like roasting the vegetables seperately because they were able to carmelize and had a little crunch to them in contrast to the soft meat.

I thought it was ok.. I used boneless chuck roast instead and like some reviewers thought, they did seem dry.. I think I'll stick to Paula's pot roast instead..

For some reason, my roast came out tough & dry. I'll try it again though. I loved the flavor of the broth....much less salty than my other recipe that used dried onion soup mix.

I made this last night and my husband had 2 helpings and said it was a total thumbs up. So so easy to make. It was nice at the end of the work day to be done. I also made the roasted veggies, which my hubby ate amazingly and never even knew there were turnips in it. Always says he does not like root veggies and yet loved it LOL. I did sprinkle garlic powder over veggies before I roasted cause we love garlic. A real keeper!!
