This recipe was easy and turned out perfectly. The spiced honey adds a special twist.

I tried this recipe the first time with Dried Figs (I went to 4 places, and dried were all I could find and I did not use the pumpkin spice. I drizzled the honey on the figs before I placed them in the oven (big mistake!! They came out Dry and Burnt from the honey and tasted awful!
This recipe is has a lot of bold flavors that I loved so I didn't give up... I tried for round two. This time I cut out the center of the figs, put the goat cheese in and added some chopped walnuts on top of the cheese, then I wrapped them in the prosciutto. Next, I placed them in the oven and let bake for 9 min. AFTER I took them out i drizzled them with honey. OH MY GOODNESS what a difference!! SO much BETTER!!!!

The inexpensive grocery store in town had FIGS...they rarely have specialty items...so I bought them and thought of things I knew would work...proscuitto, gorganzola cheese...got home and saw this recipe!! Loved the gorgonzola with it!!!! I left in for 15 minutes to get that crunch...and drizzled the honey at 10 minutes in oven!!!! My husband loved them...I'll need to go get more figs to use up the rest of the proscuitto and cheese!!! Thanks Sandra

I baked them without the honey on them, then drizzled them with a mixture of balsamic vinegar (reduced to syrup and a touch of honey. Delicious!!!

I have made these little gems twice so far. On both occasions they had rave reviews from my dinner guests! The combination of salty and sweet, and the melty goat cheese is wonderful. I did not add the pumpkin spice, but may try it when I make these again this week. The drizzle of honey was the crowning touch.

I was very excited about this recipe, but I was sadly disappointed. It did not taste good at all, and I had the same problems as others. As soon as I put the figs in the oven the honey began to burn. Thankfully I didn't spend much on the ingredients. The figs only cost about $2.50 and the proscuitto about $1.50 because I only got a few thin slices. The goat cheese cost the most, it was about $4.00.

I've come to keep these simple ingredients always on hand. They are great warm or the next day at room temperature. I change them up sometimes using goat cheese with herbs or cranberry.
