Instead of adding just whipped topping as a layer by itself, I mixed two boxes of white chocolate instant pudding with it. Just follow the directions on the pudding box for pie filling, then fold in cool whip. It was AMAZING and super easy. It was a hit at my party two years ago, and I've made it every year since.

Made this dessert for the annual 4th of July Family Reunion we have. People were raving about presentation and taste. Turns out it took me no time to prepare and fruit was wonderful! Peak season for blueberries and strawberries! My sister is making it for her office July birthday party! Highly recommend and you too will be a huge hit! Very, very easy to prepare!

I loved this recipe. i went out to buy all the ingredients and i started to make it. since i didnt have a red velvet cake, i did it with chocolate instead. when i added the whole bottle of food coloring, it didnt even do anything for the color. i made sure to mix the batter extra long which will make it more fluffy. When i tried a piece of the cake alone, it was very light and airy. I put everything together and it was like overflowing. It looked fantastic and it took a lot to make sure noone ate it before it got onto the table. When i put it out everyone loved it and it was gone so fast. this recipe is definetly a keeper

I really wanted to try this recipe, but the quanity was too large for just me and my friend, so I made the cake, but instead of using all of the cake/fruit/cool whip, I cubed two small pieces of cake and place them into a nice wine glass. Then, I added the remainder of the ingredients, which worked really well!

I needed a 4th of july dessert for a dinner gathering of all ages, cultures, etc. This was perfect. sooo easy to make and everyone loved it. i read the reviews and fortunately bought more cool whip than what the recipe mentions...a good move. other than that, followed the recipe. one other thing to note: don't attempt to serve this if you are looking for an elegant/classy dessert. though it looks great when you serve it in the big bowl, once you start dishing out individual portions, it becomes a bit of a mess, though a delicious one :.
