I don't like turkey at all but my family does. I used this very simple recipe and the turkey was moist and falvorful. I did order a fresh turkey, rather than use a frozen one.

Watched this on tv then had to prepare. Very easy. Had a friend who never prepared a turkey to make hers. She also saw the show and remembered that it sounded perfect. I pulled the recipe and another hit at her house.

I was hesitant about making my very first turkey. But this recipe was so easy and the aroma was absolutely heavenly!! Everyone that tried it loved it and I can't wait to make it again for Christmas for my family!!

I not only did this once this Thanksgiving but twice for 2 different homes. Needless to say it was an abolute hit. I do think the 2nd time was even better the the 1st attempt. I will never cooka turkey the old way again...so very, very moist and tender...even the beast meat! The left over was used for turkey noodle soup and it started with great seasonings!

I made this turkey for Thanksgiving. I didn't read the recipe right and used half the butter I was supposed to. I have to admit it still turned out GREAT and didn't have the oily problem some people had. If anything I might use a little more butter when I try again at Christmas. I might skip the spices on the INSIDE of the bird.. they just weren't needed. (maybe try the cornbread stuffing INSIDE the bird that I got from another Sandra Lee recipe

I was really looking forward to this, my first roast turkey (I'm 15. It looked pretty nice and smelled great. My dad carved it. The meat was pretty good but salty and had a sort of funny taste. It was not as good as my mom's turkey but I am still learning.

This turkey recipe gets ZERO STARS in my book. It was greasy, soggy and salty. It ruined the holiday.

The meat was overcooked and falling apart -- even at the bone, which is definitely a huge turn off with my clan. I suppose I could monkey with the cooking time, but I think I'll just switch to her other turkey recipe.
