I use this recipe every year for my Thanksgiving dinner, and it is always a hit with family and friends. The herbs and seasonings cook through the bird and give it the best flavor. I highly recommend trying this recipe. You won't be disappointed.

This recipe is amazing! I have no idea why this recipe would have only 4 stars, it really should have 5 stars. The meat was so super juicy. I have never had a turkey come out this way before! I didn't use a lemmon but used a few slices of orange instead. I didn't want to over power the meat with too much of a citrus taste. The left overs were as juicy as the meal! I will use this recipe again and again!!!!

My family could not stop talking about this recipe! It was the first time I made Thanksgiving dinner and let me just say, this is the recipe I am going to use every year! Neither of my parents like turkey but they loved this! I am 20 years old and the hardest thing about it was lifting it into the oven (I had my dad do it, my upper body strength is a myth. I can't wait until may when my older brother gets home from his tour over seas so I can re-create Thanksgiving for him!

oh dear, this was orgasmic. Friends and family couldn't stop talking about how great this was. I first made this for Thanksgiving 2009, was asked to cook it for Christmas, and again for Thanksgiving this year. Hahaha, what did I get myself into...

This turkey was OUTSTANDING!! The most moist, flavorful turkey we have had. The family raved and raved. I'm making again for Christmas and we can't wait to dig in.

This was spectacular at Thanksgiving! The video made this so easy and you were right abut the timing! I have convinced many friends to use this recipe and forget about the brining!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! That Thanksgiving bird was amazing! This was the first time that I had ever roasted a turkey and without foil (lol. My family devoured the breast like it was sitting in juices on the underside...never have I baked a turkey where I didn't use gravy even though my gravy is the BOMB...lol. This time we used the gravy for the stuffing only. The flavor was wonderful!..Great Recipe!!! Will definitely be doing this again for Xmas in a few days...this time I will get a larger bird.
Again, Great Recipe.

Would have been great because the flavor was good but my turkey was sooo dry! After all was said and done I realized that I didn't cover my turkey at all during cooking. It was my first time cooking a turkey and this recipe didn't call for a foil cover but that's what everyone told me I did wrong. Oh well, everything else was great and the turkey is good for left overs. I think next time I'll brine!

This turkey was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have never cooked a turkey in my life and this year it was my turn to host 15 people. This recipe (along with some video tips from Alton Brown made it very easy. I followed the recipe exactly for my 19.5 lb turkey. The only slight change I made was to blast the turkey at 475 for the first 30 minutes and then covered it with foil and brought it down to 325. I used an oven-safe thermometor and set it to beep when the breast was at 161 degrees (per Alton. It was complete perfection. Crispy skin, VERY juice meat. Everyone was very impressed!!! I highly highly recommend this recipe and cannot imagine why anyone would give it less than a perfect 5 star rating!
