My family LOVED this recipe and it was so easy to prepare! I substituted a can of tomato sauce for the tomato soup and it turned out delicious and beautiful. I also sauted onion and red pepper with the green pepper instead of the mushrooms. So Good! My family asked if we could have this every week!!

This recipe was so easy and tasted just like my mom used to make! I added some chopped celery that I needed to use up and used leftover baked chicken. Cooking the chicken again in the liquid made it fall off the bone good! I also just used canned tomato soup and it turned out fantastic. Plus, if you have extra sauce and no chicken left like I did, you can blend it in your food processor for a delicious, fancy tomato soup!

i made the tomato soup yesterday....i had to fight to hide enough for this round two. my husband took a big bowl for lunch then hid a big bowl for his work lunch on monday! i better make that soup again, soon, because we will never eat canned tomato soup again.
this cacciator recipe is simple and lovely. it is almost as good as my all day cacciator and easy for sunday dinner.
tomorrow i will make the pot roast that sandra did on today's show and i can't wait to try the corned beef and cabage, also from todays show.
thanks sandra....love the recipes, love the cocktails and most of all ...love you!

I've looked all over for this recipe on this site. There is no link to the recipe on Monday's list. It has a web- exclusive recipe but no tomato soup and grilled cheese recipe. Very disappointed!

Go to Foodnetwork.com; in the Search line time sandra lee's money saving meals. When that comes up go the tab that says "this weeks shows." Go to link that says The Monday show line will come up called Rainy Day...Click on that link and the recipes will come up....I printed off the recipe for the soup and instructions...
