Who is the ingnorant person that put this recipe under non-dairy. Ricotta cheese is a dairy product and if you have a dairy allergy this recipe will kill you!

All 5 star reviews for this recipe seem to have come from San Mateo, CA -- sometimes on the same date! Do we really have to resort to shill reviewers to hide an occasional bad recipe? Just pull it off the site!

Well no one can ever like every recipe. This one did not have much taste. And I followed the recipe which was more work than the way it was done on the show. Too much work for too little reward.

This could be a recipe for disaster. Whoever was responsible for the written online recipe should have double checked the ingredient list before postings it. Everything is clearly specified in cups or ounces except the jell-O, is this a 3oz box or a 6oz box???? I tuned in the day this show aired in Jan 07 and caught everything except the size of the jell-O package. From experience with this same issue,? incomplete ingredient lists? from other recipes and shows, I read the reviews before preparing. From the reviews it was either they loved it or hated it. I came to the conclusion that if a 3oz package of jell-O was used, it would be running/lumpy etc. If a 6oz package was used it would be okay. (By the way most stores carry one size or the other in sugar free jell-O, very rare to find both sizes. So when I prepared the recipe I used a 6oz package. I also added another bag of peaches because I agreed it was not peachy enough for me. I don't like rum flavor so left it out, seemed like an awful lot of extract anyway and would hide the peach flavor. I am a little lazy so bought an angle food bar cake and served the filling over a couple slices of cake instead of hollowing out a round one. Family loved it. If Food network staff really read these reviews you need to give your printed recipes to someone who has not prepared it a hundred times to make sure, First that the ingredients are correct and Second that the prep instructions make sense. So, I give the recipe if you figured out to use a 6oz jell-o a ***** rating, prepared with a 3oz jell-o and the way it was written, it would have been more like a minus ***. So I rated it a one * so other views would be more likey to read reviews

Lots of work for a very unattractive cake that was not too appealing on the palate.

I was very excited about making this recipe. However, I was very disappointed with the results. I didn't like the texture of the ricotta in the gelatin and topping mixture wasn't much better. I made it for a party, and there was quite a bit of cake leftover which I ended up throwing away.

cool whip is not healthy, it is whipped chemicals. this show should never address healthy with all the processed food used.

After all the cutting and preparation it turned out to be one sorry-looking, rotten-tasting mess.

I was looking for something to make with some leftover ricotta. This wasn't very good. Too much filling for the cake, messy and the recipe didn't match the show.
