This was my first attempt at salisbury steak and it turned out wonderful. I read a few of the other reviews and did not add any additional salt. Otherwise I followed the recipe as written by Sandra and enjoyed every bite! I will make this again.

I thought this was excellent. I left out the mushrooms because I don't like them, but added more onions because I do love those. I will definately make this again. Next time I will probably cut the bread crumbs down to 3/4 cup but everything else will remain the same. Served it with mashed potatoes, by the way.

My husband and I are not fans of onion so we made this with fresh minced garlic to taste and left everything else as is. Much more flavorful than most salisbury steak recipes, (like that's a bad thing but still nostalgic to what mom used to make.

This is truly the best Salisbury Steak I have had! My family just loved it and that is saying alot since there are many picky eaters in our family.

The best salisbury steak I've ever had. I loved all the mushrooms in the gravy and the seasoning/ texture was perfect!

I cooked this tonight and it came out wonderfully. I actually made a french onion soup (from Rachael Rays recipes instead of just cooking the onions and putting in the broth. My family loved it. The meat was moist and was full of flavor. I totally recommend this recipe.

I made this tonight. I found it easy to make, but did not really like the "mushy" meat texture in my mouth. I also found it to be a little to salty to my taste.. did not add any salt -just what was in the montreal seasoning and gravy mix. I will make again but will just use low sodium broth, low sodium seasoning and just hanburger patties. I did enjoy having lots of gravy... served on egg noodles. My girlfriend came in as it was cooking and had two of the steaks and loved it and got a copy of the recipe.

I made this while doing three other things, kinda messed up the sequence and it was still wonderful. I made meatballs instead to feed a few more people, added 1/2 cup of sour cream at the end. Served over whole wheat pasta - yum. Even good the next day reheated. My husband ate it 2 days in a row and he "doesn't like pasta" Thanks so much! I used Montreal Steak Seasoning from Costco. I am going to try a blend next time of 1/2 ground turkey and 1/2 ground beef.
