Excellent! I made it exactly as written. Very easy and delicious. I served it with mashed potatoes and Paula Deen's collard greens.

Excellent! I used 93% lean ground round and seasoned whole wheat breadcrumbs with low sodium on all the rest of the ready made products and for our household that was perfect. The steaks held together well for me. I served this with a potato and califlower mash, and a finely sliced cucumber, red onion, red bell pepper wilted salad in a dill vinagrette dressing. It gave a refreshing clean bite between the scrumptous sauce and steak. I love receipes that you can tweak to your needs. Thanks Sandra, you've done it again.

Excellent recipe, though next time I would make sure to get low sodium beef broth or only 3/4 of the gravy mix as the sauce was just a touch on the over-salty side. I had a problem with the patties falling apart like many of the other reviewers, and I read that this can often happen with very lean beef. Next time I'll use fattier, 80% lean or less, beef and chop the onions finer. I was able to double this recipe with no issue, using a large pan.

This is absolutely delicious. Salisbury steak is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods and we just LOVED this recipe. I doubled everything because both my husband and grown son can consume a small cow for dinner ;-
I think someone else has already mentioned that but will say again, it's absolutely fine without the cognac. I didn't have any on hand but don't even think it's necessary. I am sure it adds something to it, however, the dish is FABULOUS even without. If you like Salisbury steak, you MUST try this. Thanks Sandra!

Love this recipe because it is delicious and very easy to make. It is my "go to" recipe when all I have on hand is ground beef. Real comfort food!

This is a great recipe, and easy enough for a great weeknight meal. I've made it twice, first without the Montreal steak seasoning and the second time with it, and I think the seasoning made a positive difference. I also used fresh onion instead of frozen.

My partner and I really liked this recipe. Yes, the steaks almost fall apart but it still was a tasty dish. The gravy was outstanding. I didn't change a thing. I will make this one again.

Great recipe! The only thing I changed was the meat - I used ground venison instead of beef and it was delicious. And I served it with smashed cauliflower - a good combination!

The gravy was DELICIOUS! My husband loved it. I didn't have any cognac but it didn't matter...it was still sooo good! I served it with mashed potatoes. This is the first time I used Sandra Lee's recipe. Thanks Sandra!
