I made this for me and my bf. It was awesome! The crust is more like cake than a pie crust. The point is, it tasted amazing!

This is absolutely delicious and so easy!! I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. My husband had a second helping - he loved it. This is a real keeper.

This actually really surprised me! I thought that this would not turn out too great but it actually was quite tasty when paired with ice cream. If you love semi-homemade, you will love this recipe. I have to say it definitely does not compare with a homemade cobbler (you can absolutely tell the difference but if you are short on time and or don't really care for the amount of time it takes for a "real" cobbler, than this is the one for you. One of my favorite crisp/cobbler recipes is from Ina Garten -- it has pears and apples with a scrumptious crumbly topping and it's awesome! I say, if you are in the kitchen anyway, why not take the extra few steps, spend the time and make the real deal?? (Cobbler is one of those things where I feel people know when you've cheated! But, I still love Sandra's easy-peasy recipes b/c there is completely no stress!. This IS a good one!

I made Sandy's cherry cobbler today and replaced the cherry pie filling with peach pie filling and used fresh raspberries instead of frozen cherries.. it turned out great !!

I have made this twice and both times it was a hit. I don't see how anyone who followed the recipe could be disappointed in it. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and even used the cast iron skillet. It came out perfect. I served it the second time to a group of women and they all loved it. There wasn't any left over. I'm wondering if the ones who stated it was runny maybe used the whole can of milk and maybe didn't drain the frozen cherries. This is a great dessert!!

This is my favorite cobbler, and is very easy to make. The secret to getting the topping done is to make sure your cherry filling is hot before you put the batter on. I do not have a cast iron pan large enough so I use a 9*13 pan and heat the butter and the cherries in the microwave while I mix the batter. I also substitute vanilla for part of the almond if I am making it for someone who does not like almond.

I was impressed with how easy this was. I did not flip mine and I used frozen raspberries instead of frozen cherries, but everyone loved it. thanks.

There's too much almond extract in this recipe. It's a very strong flavor. I would recommend using half a teaspoon or better yet, use vanilla extract instead. I'm not even sure though that making this change would salvage this recipe. Just not good.

The recipe does differ from the one she did on TV, but I served it right from the skillet and it was delicious.
