I was looking for a way to prepare edamame other than heating it up in the microwave with salt. I don't think I'll go back to that! Enjoyed the flavor of the saute'd onions, but it seems the overall flavor was missing some component - perhaps a dash of soy sauce?

This dish was excellent with the Tilapia. A great way to add a healthy protein to your diet. I added a little sea salt some cliantro and a splash of lemon juice. I also added about 1/4 cup corn as I had already cooked it for my children. It would have been just as good without but I think it added nice color to the dish. I'll keep this as one of my staple side dishes.

I have never used the shelled edamame before and had some in the freezer, so I was excited to have a recipe for it. I like foods full of flavor and this seemed a little bland. I am going to use the leftovers for the second round dish with the bowtie pasta.

I have just started buying edamamme so was pleased to find an easy recipe. I took the earlier reviewer's advice and added an acid, rice vinegar. Tasted awesome and complimented the Asian theme I was going for. I also cooked the veggies until brown to add some carmalization and color. Turned out really good and was super filling! I love this and will make it again.

I found this to be an excellent and easy side dish for the tilapia. It tasted a little bland so I added some Italian flavored sea salt. Any spice or herb would do.

I am going to assume that others did not season the edamame. This dish was great! I added a few frozen peas in with because I had to shell the edamame and didn't have as much as I wanted for dinner. I added a tablespoon of butter at the end just for a little buttery goodness. I even got my 7yr old to eat more than a couple of spoonsful (an accomplishment I assure you. I am looking forward to the leftovers!

What a great way to use edamame. I used less oil and a little more onion. You can also flavor with onion and garlic powder if you think it is necessary. It went great with the tilapia.

This recipe resulted in a very greasy tasteless and disappointing dish.

    I won't make it again.

We love edamame because its so healthy and delicious. Try tossing edamame with lemon juice, salt and a small handful of chopped chives and mint. Serve chilled. HEAVEN!

This is an easy and light tasting, yet filling, dish. I agree that it was much more tasty when slightly browned. I think edamame takes on a good nutty flavor when browned during sauteing. I added a whole tablespoon of minced garlic and used A LOT of fresh cracked white pepper. I love using white pepper with all vegetable dishes. Will definitely make this simple, healthy and inexpensive dish again for my family.
