    I might a meat-stuffed mushroom recipe like another reviewer suggested. These were far too dull to serve to anyone but a British vegetarian.

    I just made this for a vegetarian party despite some of the negative reviews. I'm glad i did. I used smallish white mushrooms around 1 1/2" big because i couldnt find larger ones. It's a pretty straightforward recipe and i didnt find that the filling was watery at all (sort of the texture of a thick artichoke/spiniche dip- but if you find it watery, dont use as many onions (since water leeches out from this but you need them for texture and add a bit of onion powder. The flavors weren't too strong but not bland either. When people ate this they closed their eyes and said "Hmmmmmm"
    I even got compliments from my picky husband.
    I agree, it's a really good alternative to traditional meat filled, stuffed mushrooms.

    I didn't find these dry the way some others did, but they weren't good either. Too bland and not something I'd want to try again.

    These stuffed mushrooms are easy to make and taste wonderful. I even love to snack on the leftover filling while they are cooking.
