But I'll never make these again! Having made "real" truffles before I should have known better. I guess once you know the difference between mediocre and good you learn to save your calories. My young niece, who has a simple palatte, however, loved them!

I made these truffles for our Palm Sunday bake sale at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. I wrapped the truffles in pretty colored plastic wrap packages (6 per package and tied with raffia. They were a hit and sold out immediately! They are so rich and delicious, they were eaten on the spot! (Probably so they wouldn't have to share them at home!

tried them for my kid and she didn't even wnat them. The recipe is too.......messy and the result is the same. If you really like frosting, just eat it out of the can.

I just dont see how she can call these "Sensuous". They taste like frosting out of the can. I could have just gotten a spoon and ate for the can instead of wasting my time on this.

I knew these would not be truffles but I did think the littles grils at a luncheon might like these. One of them started crying when her mom suggested she eat this. The taste was really bad also. I'll know next time to skip this.

Chocolate ganache (the real filling for truffles only takes two ingedients. Why bother with this?
If you are considering this recipe, just eat your "truffles" straight out of the can and save yourself some time. If you want real truffles, look at AB recipe on FoodTV. It takes 5 minutes to make ganache, 20 minutes to refrigerate and another 10 minutes to cover them with a nice, snappy chocolate shell. You'll thank yourself for doing it right!
