It was YUMMY especially on this raining evening. I used Apple juice instead of cranberry and 1/2 the amount of sugar

Yummy! We used Bisquick since it was just easier, and fresh strawberries. This is a good dessert for the summer.

I didn't make the shortcakes, however I was looking for a good strawberry sauce. This sauce is easy to make and it is delicious! I used fresh strawberries and I poured the sauce over a slice of pound cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. SO GOOD! Next time I will try this with other berries.

This was delicious! I made this tonight for my husband who is going through Chemo Therapy and doesn't want to eat anything. BUT when he heard I was making Strawberry Shortcake and he smelled the strawberries simmering he ask if he could skip dinner and go straight to desert? Off-course I agreed and he practically licked the bowl clean!

I just made the sauce from this recipe, and it was quite good. I think it could've been better with smaller chunks of strawberries though, but thats an easy fix. Other than that, i might increase the sugar just a tad to offset the strawberry flavor.

When I made this for my friends one night, i've never lived it down. Everyone asks for it again and again. I also served it with vanilla bean ice cream, which added a bonus. I like to use fresh strawberries too!
